Information Collection and Use
Adhesive
Dispensing Ltd is the sole owner of the
information collected on this site. We will
not sell, share, or rent this information to
others in ways different from what is
disclosed in this statement. Adhesive
Dispensing Ltd collects information from our
users at different points on our website.
Any financial information collected for telephone
order payment is securely destroyed once used to process any
payment.
We do not store any credit card
information in our written files nor on our
computer systems.
Online
Ordering
We request
information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information
(such as name and shipping address). Any
financial information (such as credit card
number, expiration date) is processed via
encrypted secure Romancart SSL servers. We do not hold any credit
card information from our website. If
we have trouble processing an order, only
basic contact information is available to us to get in touch with the
user.
We use Romancart
(as used by 15000 online stores) for secure
online transactions. You are protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) secure servers,
and a Thawte Digital I.D.
The SSL server protects any data sent to it
from your browser. It is fully capable of
using either 40 bit or 128 bit key. The key
size of your browser determines which is
used. By default, most Web browsers use 40
bit keys, as this is the current export
limit imposed by the US government. If you
use a 128 bit key browser our secure server
will be able to use the higher level
encryption as well.
In addition, the Romancart secure server we
use has a unique Digital ID to verify its
authenticity. A Digital ID is much like a
notary's seal and signature on a paper
document. In other words, the Digital ID
(sometimes called a Certificate) is used to
certify that people using SSL and other
public key encryption are who they claim to
be. Web browsers are designed to refuse to
communicate using SSL with a Web server that
does not have a valid Digital ID. Digital
IDs/Certificates are obtained from a
Certificate Authority (CA). The CA currently
used by Romancart (our secure online
transaction provider) is Thawte, and the
certificate is issued to Romancart
protecting all of our online business
activities.
Cookies
A cookie is
a piece of data stored on the user's hard
drive containing information about the
browsing session. Usage of a cookie is in no
way linked to any personally identifiable
information while on our site. The cookie
simply terminates after a period of time.
For instance, by setting a cookie on our
site, the user would not have to re-enter
any shopping cart information, thereby
saving time. If a user rejects the cookie,
they may still use our site although
shopping cart functionality will be
unavailable.
Log
Files
We use IP
addresses to analyse trends, administer the
site, and gather broad demographic
information for aggregate use. IP addresses
are not linked to personally identifiable
information.
Sharing
We
do not share
aggregated demographic information with any
partners and advertisers to ensure your
information is not linked
to any personal information that can
identify any individual person.
We use
a
leading credit card merchant to bill users
for goods and services. These companies do
not retain, share, store or use personally
identifiable information for any secondary
purposes.
Links
This web
site may contain links to other sites but
these sites are within our own control.
Any external links to sites outside our own
control please be aware that we are not responsible
for the privacy practices of such other
sites. We encourage our users to be aware
when they leave our site and to read the
privacy statements of each and every web
site that collects personally identifiable
information. This privacy statement applies
solely to information collected by this Web
site.
Security
This website
takes every precaution to protect our users'
information. When users submit sensitive
information via the website, your
information is protected both online and
off-line.
When our order form asks users to enter
sensitive information (such as credit card
number), that information is encrypted and
is protected with the best encryption
software in the industry - SSL. While on a
secure page, such as our order form, the
lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such
as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet
Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to
un-locked, or open, when you are just
'surfing'.
While we use SSL encryption to protect
sensitive information online, we also do
everything in our power to protect
user-information off-line. All of our users
information, not just the sensitive
information mentioned above, is restricted
in our offices. Only employees who need the
information to perform a specific job (for
example, our billing clerk or a customer
service representative) are granted access
to personally identifiable information.
We also do everything in
our power to protect user-information
off-line. All of our users information is restricted in our offices. Only
employees who need the information to
perform a specific job (for example, our
billing clerk or a customer service
representative) are granted access to
personally identifiable information.
Information that is written down or recorded
for the purposes of credit card purchases is
destroyed by us and not disposed of
externally.
Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a user's
personally identifiable information changes
(such as your post code), or if a user no
longer desires our service, the user can
contact us and we will correct, update or
remove that user's personal data provided to
us. We do not operated mass mailing, emails
or unsolicited phone calls without a
companies agreement or approval.
